Terms of Use

By installing or using Mochi Reader you agree to the terms below. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. What the app is

Mochi Reader is an iOS web browser that recognizes and translates text inside images displayed on the web page you are viewing. The app does not provide, host or distribute comic content. You choose which websites to visit and are responsible for complying with those sites’ terms and applicable copyright law. Translated images are for your own reading only; do not copy, repost or distribute them.

2. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, under the App Store Usage Rules. You may not reverse-engineer, resell, or use the app for large-scale automated scraping.

3. Free trial and Mochi Reader Pro

Every new account automatically receives a free trial of Mochi Reader Pro. Its length is shown in the app and on our website, and we may change it for new accounts. The trial is granted once per account, needs no payment details, does not renew and never turns into a paid plan. When it ends, new pages are translated only with Mochi Reader Pro. Mochi Reader Pro is an auto-renewing monthly or yearly subscription, or a one-time Lifetime purchase, that unlocks translation and the benefits listed in the app, within any daily page limit shown in the app.

Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage and cancel subscriptions in iPhone Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

Refunds are decided by Apple under App Store policy; request them at reportaproblem.apple.com.

4. Benefits we grant

We may grant trial time, gift codes or lifetime Pro to some users for support or promotional purposes. These benefits have no cash value, cannot be sold or traded, and may be revoked in case of abuse.

5. Apple technologies

Text recognition and translation use Apple Vision and Apple Translation, which run on your device and are provided by Apple under Apple’s terms.

6. Translation quality

Translations are generated automatically and may be wrong. The app is provided "as is" without warranty of accuracy, availability or fitness for a particular purpose.

7. Prohibited conduct

You may not use the app to break the law, infringe others’ rights, overload third-party websites or our systems, or circumvent the app’s technical limits. We may restrict or terminate access upon abuse. If you hold rights in a work and believe the app is being used to infringe it, contact support@mochireader.com and we will review and respond.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Nguyen Xuan Thong is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from use of the app. Our total liability does not exceed the amount you paid for the app in the preceding 12 months.

9. Changes and termination

We may update the app and these terms. Continued use after an update means you accept the new terms. You may stop at any time by deleting the app and cancelling your subscription.
